The 2,680 LF x 36" ID decant pipe was sealed off for New Ridge Mining in Pike County, Kentucky. This pipe had to be filled from the outlet end in stages to withstand the pressures of the 200' elevation change from inlet to outlet ends. We also constructed a HD steel bulk with high pressure connects and valves for quick shutoff and disconnect. We at Wright Concrete & Construction, Inc., do a lot of variations of this process for several mining companies throughout the industry.
