Road Fork Development, Mine #51

Description: In the Fall of 2006, after a long approval process with MSHA accepted a contract to build 8 Ventilation Seal type Bulkheads at Massey's mine near Pineville , Wv. These Buldheads were approximately 24' wide by 30' tall and nearly 18' thick. They had to be constructed using 6' Lincoln Lock Cribs and 5 bucks of scaffolding for placement.
Ruby Coal
Location: East Bernstadt, Kentucky
Description: We installed 85Ld steel track and switches throughout the slop entry to the mind and approximately 500' inby the bottom of the slope. Then we pumped from the surface down the slope for approximately 1750 LF (approx. 1700 CY of 4000 PSI concrete) and placed it around the rail all the way out of the slope to the supply yard. This project enabled Ruby Energy to access their mine faster, safer, and with less mechanical problems for their equipment.
